And here's my theory...(e-mail me, & write, what yo think)

Theoretical power levels

Since there are no official power levels after the Freeza saga, (due to the fact that Scouters were no longer used) we had to figure out how to mesure power levels among each warrior. The solution is my theoretical guide to power levels during the Android/Cell and Buu sagas. All power levels are measured in terms of power, skill and effectiveness, Instead of guessing power level numbers based on official listings.

A note about this section and my disclaimer: Everything measured and charted here has taken into account anything that happened in the manga and TV series: what happened in battles (and the results if any), techniques used, training, and anything said based on observations. There is no way to accurately measure each and every person's power level because of the limited amount of information that is available from the series. So I say again everything listed here are theories based on facts. I know that some of these measurements will be disputed based on whatever opinion readers may have. This is to be expected: these charts and listings are not absolute and are all subject to debate. What I did was simply use my knowledge of the series and add to the theories here. With that said please don't come calling my email saying that a power level is wrong. If you think you can do that then proceed below and enjoy!

Please read all instructions and examples before you read the charts.

How do the charts work?

Each chart has three separate bars on them: power, skill and effectiveness/momentum. Lets go over the individual bars:

Power (blue): The power bar is equivalent to the power level numbers measured on Scouters. It is based on pure KI power (energy and strength). The power bar is the base of all other bars (skill and effectiveness) as each of the other bars follow them: the higher the power bar, the higher the skill and effectiveness bars can stretch. The blue bars can also be used to compare power among each warrior.

Skill (yellow): The skill bar is based on intelligence, experience, training and potential. If the skill bar is low it means the warrior's skill set is limited and has yet to use the full potential of his or her power. If it is high, it means the warrior's skill set is near its potential and the warrior maximized his or her power at this level. The skill bar usually follows the power bar unless the warrior is new at this level. If the skill level is below the power bar it means that the warrior has room to improve on that level. If the skill level is above the power bar, that warrior maximized the potenial on that level and would have to go to the next level to increase their effectiveness.

Effectiveness/Momentum (red): The effectiveness/momentum bar is based on how effective the warrior was, the momentum and results of a battle. If a warrior fights very well and/or wins a battle, the effectiveness bar is usually high. A warrior would have to lose pretty bad to have a low effective bar, since the Z warriors are all powerful beyond imagination! Effectiveness/momentum is measured on the results of battles. If it is too low, it means he got his/her butt whipped. If it is too high it means he/she whipped some major butt.

As a general rule, both the skill and effectiveness bars follow the power bar. You cannot compare skill and effective bars between different warriors. You may find that understanding the charts may be easy at times, or quite difficult. And the reason for that is so the user (thats you) could make his or her own observations based on what is read here.

Example 1
In example 1: A is the power bar, B is the skill bar and C is the effectiveness bar. In a chart observation you can say that this warrior is pretty strong (A), but he/she has got a long way to go to develop his/her power (B). I would say that this person kicked some butt, but probably came up short of winning any battles (C). Remember that both skill and effectiveness bars follow the power bar. Those levels are based on the level of power this warrior has.

In example 2: A is the power bar, B is the skill bar and C is the effectiveness bar. In a chart observation you can say that this warrior is pretty strong (A), and he/she has reached his/her full potential based on the power level shown. There is no way this warrior can get better unless he/she has a significant increase in power (B). However I would say that this person got his/her butt kicked many times and never won any battles (C). Again remember that both skill and effectiveness bars follow the power bar. Those levels are based on the level of power this warrior has.

When comparing power levels among warriors, use the blue bar for comparison. A small edge in that bar can mean a 2 thousand power level difference. Unlike the skill and effectiveness bars, the blue bar is proportioned to every level listed in the Android, Cell and Majin Buu saga. However, be careful not take the face value of the greater power bar as an absolute winner in a comparison.

Comparison

Warrior 1

trunks.jpg

Warrior 2

trunks.jpg

If you look at the comparison to the above, you will see a difference in in the power level bar (the blue bar). Warrior 1 has a longer power level bar than Warrior 2. You must keep in mind when comparing these bars, skill and effectivness can have a major impact on a battle. Do you think that warrior 1 is better than warrior 2?

OK now here comes the good part. Below are links to the power level charts. There are three ways to view the charts: saga listings, battle listings and the compare engine. To save trouble PLEASE make sure you read the instructions on how to read the charts!

WARNING!: The links below contains charts that are loaded with tons of graphics. If you are on a slow connection, I advise to be ready for some moderate wait times as the page loads could take a few moments, depending on your connection.
